What is your core brand story?
I took a deep breath in and closed my eyes.
I held myself back for at least two months before sharing striking images of who I was at the core of myself and my business — a Mermaid.
I hit “Post” on Facebook. I hit “Send” in my newsletter software.
Within minutes I was getting “Likes” and comments on that post.
My email box was filling with replies — and what felt like fan mail!
And this continued for weeks. Women thanking me for showing up. Women sharing with me their deepest fears and traumas.
- 96 emails to be exact!
- 600 new sign ups on my mailing list that month.
- At least 10 invitations to speak and be interviewed.
Deep breath. Tears. Laughter.

This is an essential piece of marketing for your biz.
For me it all began with that story about how I “came out” as a mermaid with amazing photography (by my dear friend Rachel) and a strong brand message that was congruent with the archetypal truth, that desired to be expressed through me and embodied.
